Cool Coconut is an Australian label designing natural wooden jewellery from Mullumbimby, in the Northern Rivers of New South Wales. Every piece is handmade in the Philippines, in the same family workshop we’ve worked with since 1999, from Pangantuon — also known as whitewood — coconut palm wood and coconut shell.

Among others, you will find four- and five-stranded, graduated, smoothly finished, circular wooden beads on a firm yet supple elastic - ensuring a snug fit on the wrist - plus concave, elongated, oval-shaped forms that make a stunning statement.
Our lightweight, handcrafted women’s wooden bracelets are made from Pangantuon, coconut palm wood or coconut shell. Wear a single Ovalitos bracelet on its own, or cluster together as many as you like.
Pangantuon is soft and fast-growing, and we’ve funded a planting of it to put back what we take. Coconut palm is endemic to the Philippines — abundant, and replaced far more quickly than we use it. Coconut shell is what’s left once the coconut has been harvested for food.

The Story Behind Our Wooden Bead Bracelets

Our company has grown from a market stall on Bondi Beach during the 2000 Sydney Summer Olympics to a supplier of carefully curated collections - to retailers all over the world - from our studio cum warehouse in Mullumbimby in Northern NSW.

We have never held a certification for any of this, and we don’t claim one. What we do have is twenty-five years working with the same family workshop, which we think is its own evidence.

Bella and Lolita. Multi-strand clusters of graduated wooden beads on firm, supple elastic, both available across the full colour range.
Kirra and Viva. Cleaner, more classic shapes for when you want a single bracelet rather than a stack, though they cluster happily with the rest.
Many of the bracelet colourways have matching necklaces and earrings, so you can build a full set or mix the colours as you like.
